Cibola came through for me

December 12, 2018 06:03PM
Took the Cibola for a short, 1.5 hour relic hunt this afternoon. The site is a small hilltop ( maybe 150' x 150' ) where an old home used to stand. All that remains of the home is a pile of chimney stones and the well. The site is terribly littered with bits of rusty roofing tin and busted up woodstove pieces,,, but it has produced some good relics in the past. I have hunted this little spot hard on multiple occasions with the T2 and MXT. With the MXT I was using the small 5.3 coil and digging everything that came up with a positive number.

As much time as I've spent hunting this site, I really didn't expect to find much today ,,, but man was I surprised at how many brass targets the Tesoro unmasked for me!! I have only dug one other flat button, so this silver-ish plated one was a most welcomed surprise!! I guess the Cibola is proving it's unmasking ability and is fast earning a permanent spot in my arsenal
