Singing a new tune in 2019 -

Hey Harold,

I sold my New Tone Golden ┬ÁMax last year. Fellow over on Findmall bought it. I had plans for it, but between a few different new machines (the Golden, Racer 2, FORS CoRe, EQ800) plus some nice used detectors I picked up on deals, I ended up with no time to put any of them to work and they sat and sat in the closet collecting dust. Isn't popular with my wife to buy things and have them sit unused. Imagine.

Decided I needed to settle on just a couple detectors that best matched the areas I am now hunting and become as proficient as possible with them. Keeping my EQ800 for houses, parks, ghosts towns etc and a FORS CoRe for the nastiest of the iron areas in the ghost towns and backing up the 800 at the house and parks. Selling the rest. I am looking closely at the Deus as a ghost town machine. It appears capable. I'm just trying to decide how I would do with it and the myriad of settings. thinking

I see you've 'settled' with your Golden and a CZ-3D. I ran a CZ-6 in the early 90's, a CZ-6a from about '96 to 2000. Found a lot of 'keepers' with them. I guess that you parted with your Irish Etrac ? ? Sold my Etrac a couple weeks ago. What types of places are you primarily hunting? Are you thinking the Golden and CZ are your best choices? What you're most confident with? or both?

This is going to be an interesting year for me. Despite the changes, I'm anticipating great things. Wish you the same. thumbs up

How many have a New Tone Golden uMax? I bought one a year ago with the Brown donut coil and it is a great little coin shooter that is farley deep in My moderate ground. Took it too a small old park the first week I had it that I pounded with My Etrac and CZ-3D along with everybody and there Brother and found 2 Silver Halves and a Barber Quarter on the first 3 trips. I must have a hot one as it will high tone on a silver dime at 9" easy in My ground. I think they juiced up the New Tone Models as they seem to be hotter? Anyways Glad I bought mine as hard to find anymore as not many made.

Deus (Deuce)
EQ800 (800)
CoRe (Ol' Yeller)
