Here's the NOAA report for Vale, Oregon yesterday:
05 Sep 5:53 pm 101° w/49° (dewpoint) 17% (humidity) ENE 6 (wind)
It was forecast to get to about 96° which was about twelve degrees above normal, and very unwelcome. Today should be the start of a three-day change to move us into a 'normal' range and it should start the shift into FALL weather. Much better for detecting, to be sure.
Let us know how your new-to-you Tesoro's perform. Personally, I don't get all wrapped up in the 'depth' discussions because it has really been overblown the past several years. Most detectors are used for Coin Hunting and searches for comparably-sized targets, such as rings, tokens, etc. As we've learned over the decades of this activity, those targets are usually not going to be very deep and what we need if very good
'functional' depth. I have been enjoying that from Tesoro models for over 36 years now, and the Pantera's I've owned all served my needs very well.
By the way, I bought my first personal Pantera on a visit at Rusty's home in June of '94. I was still doing more Coin Hunting back then and enjoyed that Pantera, mainly w/7" Concentric coil. I hope you get pleasant weather to spend some enjoyable time with yours.
