Hit a park within a mile of me first thing this morning for a short hunt. I have hunted here for years and had yet to find any coins older than 60s-70s clad. The huge firs have always led me to believe there's old coins here. Last month I stumbled across a spot in the back of the park and started popping up old mason jar lids with the white glass inserts. Working slow with the Bandido 2 Micro max and 8" coil I pulled a 192? (might be a 5) wheatie and within a few feet a dented up button about nickle size with what looks like an eagle on it. Its a 2 piece and silver in color. I am always amazed at the number of beavertail pulltabs I still dig here. I was running the discr. at 3.5 with the sensitivity at 9. Not sure if the slower sweep speed of the Bandido versus my MXT and XLT had anything to do with this mornings find, but the detector is a joy to use.
