Yes...I knew that... I was really only concerned with overrunning the first-felt "drag" position of the GB dial , but after SvenS and Monte's replies, I've decided to keep the original dial and not worry if I dial slightly past the position where the initial drag is felt before I stop and reverse direction for two full turns to the mid-point. And, I understand that this dial mid-point will most likely need to be tweaked a skosh positive or negative when "bobbing" the coil.

I wouldn't worry about the friction drag on the ground balance control....
