A local guy likes my Apex, but his HBC (household- budget controller) limited his detector buying power to $250 total so he gave me the cash and I have a check going out for a Bandido II microMAX in tomorrow's mail. I let him borrow one of my Tesoro's during this past couple of weeks and he liked it, also.
I am told that he has a family member with a modern Nokta model who had lost interest in detecting the past couple of years, until recently. When he saw my Tesoro in use he got out a Tesoro unit he had out in the garage and joined him. I know it is one of the Silver Sabre models using a smaller coil, like a 6" or 7" Concentric.
I let him borrow my Tesoro yesterday and he reported back that they did pretty well, and the family member said he has found more coins this past few weeks with his Tesoro than he had found with his Target ID detector.
I now have the opportunity to hunt some of their old family property when his Bandido II microMAX arrives, so hopefully the 23rd & 24th. Other family members were 'spectators' this weekend and one or two of them are now interested in getting their own B-II MM. Back to 'middle-man' shopping for them.
I sure wish someone would have purchased Tesoro or their circuitry rights to have just two or three models still around.
Looking ahead to find out what their property might have to offer us.
