Quick update. I received the Cibola and it had the gb mod installed with 10 turn pot. The machine was very noisy and knock sensitive. I checked all the solder joints and redid the 2 wires but still noisy. I had an extra 3 3/4 bournes and changed it out for that and it was worse.
Last bit I cut the 2 leads short and installed a micro pot, brought the unit to gb on a neutral spot 80gb from my Garrett machines and the Cibola now runs nice and quiet. Depth isn't half bad at all on it as it now has just a fixed gb.
I don't know that much about the circuit on it but think the big pots are just too noisy for it and might need some sort of filtering. Machine seems much happier back close to stock. Also put the original pp button back on and made a battery box cover as the original was missing. Few quick measurements with my calipers and a reference pic from the web worked out ok and I have a nice little 3d SLA printer I use.
If I can get a hold of propper trim I will swap it out if I can but looks to be surface mounted which can be tricky. Anyways I'm now looking for a shaft for it.
