I sure appreciated Jack Gifford's design approach for coils ...

Where a number of models could operate at different Frequencies but interchange all the same coils. The Shadow X2's at 9.6 and 9.8 kHz, the many Tesoro models like the VLF/TR-Disc. Mayan and all the VLF/VLF-Disc.10 kHz, 12 kHz, 12.5 kHz models and their only 15 kHz unit, the Golden Sabre Plus. Very smart engineering design approach making it handy for the consumer as well to own a variety of detectors but only one 'set' of coils they all shared.

For those of us who have enjoyed a good working zteso or two or more coil selection was seldom an issue. Simply a circuitry design approach that worked well.thumbs up
