This will be an interesting project to follow.

I remember way back when I first got started in the hobby, when my eyes were sharp and my fingers could easily handle little parts and wires and soldering things together, it was a lot of fun. The Metal/Mineral Locators we built were crude but worked, and we felt a sense of achievement when they did. It's kind of fun, for me at least, to think of tinkering around with things today with dexterity that leaves a lot to be desired.

I hope your project results in a notable performance advantage for you. Personally, I know what a Compadre can do, but I also know how easy it is for people to 'over-tinker' with that simple little device. If you have components and instructions that can add any enhancement to how a Compadre performs it will be interesting to hear your experiences putting it to the test afield.

Good luck.
