That was/is my favorite 8" coil and shouldn't be confused with the 8" white coil that came with the Outlaw or is otherwise available. That newer coil is the same size and weight as the brown 8" coil.
The 'original' 8" donut coil was standard on the Royal Sabre, 'original' Bandido and I believe Bandido Ii that had the transition to the brown 8" coil. It was also on a few of the earlier Tesoro's from that earlier era. Although the rod-mount was slightly farther to the back edge of the coil and a bit farther from the coil's center axis, I still preferred those coils because they weigh a little less than the thicker 8" brown donut coils, and from my experience comparing them, I would say that perhaps 8-out-of-10 older white 8" coils were just slightly hotter or better performers than their brown counterpart.
