Strange they aren't making a small sized coil for either the Simplex or Apex.

I'm on Joel's ('Kickindirt') list for an APEX w/wireless Z-Lynk headphones. I need a smaller-size search coil than the 'Viper' coil they came up with, and one issue with this new design is it uses its own coils and doesn't share any of the others they offer. So I trust Garrett Metal Detectors will offer a smaller coil soon, and also hope the APEX works as well as it has been promoted. If so, it can make a good 'General Purpose' unit that will work well for a lot of urban Coin Hunters and Beach Hunters.

If the APEX works half as well as their MS-3 headphones and ProPointer AT Z-Lynk systems, they will have a winner, to be sure.
