Monte no 50 ft away is not the best connectivity your right of coarse. The point I'm trying to make is that these system will work a reasonable distance away and that just switching to your right hand to your left will make absolutely no difference at all. You should be able to set your detector down walk away 10 ft turn on your Z-liink pointer dig in a hole with no issues. I can do this with my Xp deus and nokta/makro, Eq 800 and vanquish.
