Coinboy you know Monte is talking about me and a few others when he says get to know your metal detector before you say anything. But I still stand behind my original assessment of the Apex which I won't go into here. Yes there were a few tricks like turning off iron audio in zero mode I had to eat crow on but other than that it's a mid priced metal detector with mid priced performance. I just expected too much out of it and thought it should be more like an Equinox since it's multi frequency. Like Monte says use it and get to know it and if you like it, it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks about it.
