"I must say that the. 28 firmware upgrade has made the Apex into a keeper. I was seriously thinking of getting rid of it. It is now much more stable, less noisy and is definitely performs more competitive with other detectors in its class now. There is so much improvement that I bought a 5x8 DD Flex Field Raider coil for it. I should receive it this week. I really like the looks, feel and weight of the detector. It has now earned a place in my stable of detectors."
