Decided to spend some time working the banks along the lake this morning. The water is about as low as it will get now. I was swinging my Apex with the small Ripper coil. I was running in MF 1 bar below max sens. and bouncing back and forth between Jewelry and Relic modes. Last week I spent some time casting along this stretch and came across what is either the remains of a concrete foundation or curbing. I'm always looking for signs of where the old homes where out here. The first picture is the concrete. While working along there I found the usual lead weights but then got a banging 93 reading. Out popped ring #1. I cannot find any markings but it was sure reading like a silver quarter. While taking a water break and shedding my sweatshirt I spied ring #2 pocking out of the clay. From a distance it sure looked like gold but is junk. I ended the morning with the two rings, $1.18 in clad, 2 pair of sunglasses, some spinner blades and a couple pounds in lead. The last picture I'm not sure what it is. I know I've seen something like it before but cannot place it. Electrical comes to mind. Surprising there weren't that many tabs or bottlecaps in this area compared to other spots around the lake.
