While some are really fun to hunt and have a fair percentage of desirable keepers, both coins and jewelry, there are those that seem to have an over-abundance of non-ferrous debris such as lead sinkers or lead lures, pull-tabs and pry-tabs, screw caps and, we can't forget the ferrous-based bottle caps. Then there have been a couple that had a lot of hot rocks to del with, but only a couple that were a challenge.
There have been a few freshwater lakes and large rivers in both Oregon and Utah that I have enjoyed hunting, and there are many water-bodies here in Texas. I just need to find out which of them are huntable and get enough use to make them worth my time.
Keep up the searches as we start to shift into pleasant fall weather.
