2 but will be changed to 1½ bathrooms, 2132 Sq. Ft. Built in 1933, .52 Ac. lot. And now that I bought it a complete heavy-duty new roof, complete eclectic re-wire, and put in a new sewer line from the back of my house to the city's sewer line. 3 New fans and light fixtures, the entire house is getting new laminate flooring and we are finishing up a complete painting inside. Brand new vinyl windows, 12 of them, have been pre-paid for with a down pmt. and will be installed, hopefully, by the end of September. All brand new cabinets and cupboards and sink in the kitchen that also has remodeled walls and such. Both bathrooms will get new vinyl flooring. New bladder/filter in the well house for outside irrigation. A couple of new doors inside and a new back door, a lot of prep-work and sanding to be ready to finish the total painting.
I was told by a realtor last week that when all is finished, and I hope that's by the end of September, I could put this place on the market for $235K to $245K. Right now that's not in my plans as I have a very nice looking and very roomy house for one old phart and his dog. Even if I did, I couldn't afford to move back to anywhere in Oregon or southern Idaho or Utah because prices there are so high.
My youngest son bought a new house in a subdivision in Farmington Utah maybe about 10 years ago or so. He and his family are on a smaller lot than mine, and while it's a newer home, it has some 'early aging' issues. I think they bought it new for $349K, but today it has a 'zestimate' price of $645K, and to be honest, there's no way I would buy that house for what that asking price might be. My laundry room is bigger, my kitchen & dining room are bigger, my original living room and new add-on living room are bigger. He does have a nice partial fence.
I did see a house on a bit of acreage up in Oregon that I would like to have. It's much bigger than what I need, unless I was young and healthy again and could start another family, but it is just short of $2,000,000. I looked in that general area back in the late '80s and early '90s and could have found a similar place for somewhere between $325K and $500K with a nice house and all the acreage. And that's a country location and not close to the Portland metro area.
In general, it is a lot more affordable to buy a house here in this central area of Texas.
Current coin count from my yard = 262 coins. Of them no more than 5 wheat-backs and no silver at all.
A lot of Bottle Caps because:
• They were party folks on the back patio area
• He also has his own brewery and started it here in the detached garage.
A lot of modern coins because it looks like they were the type to toss out pennies and / or dump an ashtray of change out of their vehicles.
