It is a very good coil, and gets acceptable 'separation' for its size, but isn't a coil I would be using in places where 'separation' is important. For ME it is simply a bigger-size coil for open areas with minimal targets, such as a wide-open freshwater beach or a plowed field, etc. Due to my messed-up health and impaired mobility, I couldn't hunt all that long with it so it was fine for my search duration. As I have started, all the rest of my detectors have small to mid-size coils mounted full-time to be comfortable for me and make a good fit for the site environments I hunt.
I'll comment on coil types with some Tesoro's on that Forum in a day or two.
