Albert, I have watched that particular video several times before, and spoke with a fellow usia Master Hunter CX III who was hunting my favorite old townsite of Twin Flats and not doing too well.
We were working the former business area and the abundance of square Iron Nails was a challenge. Many places had more nails positioned closer than the four that surrounded my Indian Head Cent that made my Nail Board come into use. His problems were three fold.
1.. He was sweeping way too fast.
2.. He wasn't keeping the coil level with the ground through his side-to-side sweep.
3.. He had that annoying BellTone turned 'On' which had a negative effect on how well the detector processes signals for a better Recovery Speed and also how e r ll it Separates to handle unmasking. With it turned 'Off' it can do a better job on the NBPT.
Yes, it was able to get the coin in the NBPT but I don't remember if he used a Penny or not. I saw one video he did with a Mastet Hunter where he used a bigger Quarter.
I do remember he didn't understand Pinpointing and signal to coil variation. Also remember he used the 12.5" and 8.5" Concentris coils. Not a DD.
