The Apex is definitely not an Ace series unit and it looks really nice with the two-tone control housing. I keep the 5X8 DD Ripper coil mounted full-time and it works quite well. A really good mid-size coil.

However, I do like a round-shaped coil, and I like a 9" as a go-between a mid-size (elliptical) and full-size. Plus, I like the looks of your 9" coil, and especially like the color-matching coil cover. If your coil is working well I might want to get a similar coil and coil cover since a friend is interested in getting a Ripper coil and she can get mine.
