IF I get enough mobility back. I thought I would be back to transitioning to my cane more by now, but it is a slow struggle. There are times I use my cane carefully and for short (distance and time) periods. Around the house I mainly rely on my walker. Outdoors I hVe my new Power Chair they figured I needed due to my imbalance and terrible mobility. It's cold for a few months and often wet so I bought an enclosed mobility scooter. Hope to have it by Christmas.
I did have surgery on my bad but better eye on Thursday and it will take a while to mend. Surgery on my worse eye on the 15th, and once it is mended I will get examinated for new glaces for reading as well as computer-distance reading. As it is, I am talking this on my phone and having a friend proof-read it because I won't see well for a few more days.
The Garrett Axiom is on my shopping list, but not at the top. If I get mobility back and vision enough to drive places, I will try to save enough for an Axiom IF I can get out, and about, for Nugger Hunting.
I really have all, or more, of what I need right now HOWEVER I have thought about adding a new, higher end SMF next year ... if, as I said, I get more mobility back. It will either be the Ewuinox 90p, now that it is announced, or a new unit from a different competitor. I can't even mention the name yet, and who knows, they might change it by release.
