jmaryt unless your completely closed minded to learning a new machine u can't go wrong with a EQ 600-800. Hands down is prob one of the best all around detectors out right now. Maybe even the best. Just my opinion the EQ 600 is prob the best bang for your buck right now. For a few different reasons. I would have to say the hype behind the EQ 600-800 is pretty real. They are great machines, easy to learn and flat out will find a few keepers that others missed. If you plan on hunting highly mineralized ground or gold prospecting u prob don't need a 800. If your just gonna be coin shooting I would get the 600. If you plan on hitting heavy iron sites or prospecting then get 800. 800 has more recovery speed settings which will let you run it faster in the iron. If you go the 600 route I know of some wireless headphones that are the exact same thing that come with the 800 that you can buy for $29 shipped. Right now I think a Xp deus for old sites or relic hunting and a EQ 600-800 for water and park hunting are prob the best combo out right now. Just my opinion. You have these 2 machines really no reason to need anything else. grinning smiley
