Silver is always a great find, and those old wheat pennies are always a good indication silver could be lurking around. But the best find you made, to me, is the trade token. I really enjoy finding decent trade tokens.

Unfortunately, for me, you didn't show the obverse which could have been a giveaway clue to where you're hunting.

Guilty as charged. sad smiley I did leave out the obverse of the token. A friend introduced my to this spot a few decades ago and as such, I consider it his fishing hole, so to speak. While he has no problem with me going there by myself, being that it isn't my spot, I make an effort not to advertise to the world.

However, whenever I head out for the long drive, I pass through several other big cities, small cities, towns and 'spots on the map' that we've hunted over the decades and all of them still hold lots of potential and desirable trade tokens as well. Just a matter of getting out and making contacts with folks. thumbs up

What a terrible problem we all have. And me too. So many places to hunt, I don't have time enough for them all. grinning smiley

Here it's 6:35 p.m. and it is just dumping rain big time. It already has a couple times today, and they just gave a forecast for more rain and high winds gusting to 35 miles an hour for tomorrow and still windy on Wednesday. We've had hints of Spring's arrival, but it's sure dragging its feet this year.

I hope you have more opportunities to get out and wish you continued success. And once again, thank you for the mode and settings used as well as search coil.

That weather is predicted to come my way. Kickindirt is headed into town this week and we're hoping to get in some hunting time while he's here in Salt Lake. I'm hoping to sneak a good look at the Deus and ORX.

Thanks for the comments.

j.t., trying to figure out different detectors is difficult because there is no 'norm' in how we define 'trash.'
