LOL, j.t., I take it you don't spend much time over on Tom's Forum.
My take on using Detector Settings provided by others is that I need to check them out for myself and see if THOSE settings work in my areas and conditions. As for Tom's suggested settings for the EQ800, I've done some very initial testing but have more comparisons to do. I know that my settings for my 800 work very well in my areas. But as I have time, I can prove out Tom's suggestions and see if they work better that what I've already come up with. If they do, great. If they don't, I have confidence in what I've already come up with.
As for
game changer, having used my EQ800 for close to 18 months now, and having taken it to places that have been hunted to death, I can say that it is very good. One of the best I've used in a lot of years of doing this. Are there things I'd change with it after 18 months of use? Yes. It isn't perfect. But, like I say, it is
very good.
