Never had one, never saw one. I got it because it may be great for GT hunting. (I emphasize MAY be great - I'm taking a chance on it).
MAY be? We might be headed to Nevada but don't plan on betting on it happening in your favor. You'll find some of that out when you test it at home. The only manual control you have for rejection is for Iron Rejection as the two Disc. modes don't have any Disc. adjustment.
If you're sweeping over one gold nugget and one nail and one silver Half-Dollar you can hear the audio and see what the Iron Audio does for you. But try using that crazy audio in most of the old town sites we like to hunt and it will drive you nuts! Almost never shut up, and also limit in-the-field performance, too.
If I was looking for a Gold Nugget detector ONLY and not one with a functional Disc. mode for Coin or relic hunting, then I'd get the White's 24K with the coils I'd like. But to do any Coin or Relic hunting and taking on ferrous debris, that's another story.
I was unimpressed with the AT Gold in Cobre where I tried it, so I look forward to hearing your report after testing it.
I'm not a Déus fan, but I am satisfied with what my
XP ORX can due in some tough nail challenged sites. I hope to have a silver Half-Dime by Outing time for a Tough Test on the
Nail Board. I'll have some Iron Nail and other ferrous tests there for folks to check out their detectors and/or coils, as well as settings.
