Multi IQ - Iron Bias

I'm going to toss in a thought here in relation to Minelab's Multi-IQ and the Iron Bias.

Setting an iron bias HIGH is nice if you want to get rid of anything showing ferrous characteristics or co-located with something with ferrous characteristics. Are you sure you want to do that? thinking

The LOWER you can set the iron bias, the more you give the multi-IQ signal processing the chance to separate ferrous and non-ferrous items.

this is what i thought may happen too!..since the detector has limited adjustability, it would behoove one to just set it for "high iron bias" and (depending on one's mode preference) let the "internal" detector's adjustments suffice for whatever you are hunting for.in my settings would be set for coin most of the time with an occasional foray into jewelry, and also possibly making a custom profile from time to time.perhaps the user i referred to in the video, had some unusual soil or some weird settings that caused him to experience the "high tone falses on the iron, and he was unable to tell the difference due to lack of experience. thanks monte for your detailing your experiences with it so far.

It's YOU that makes the difference.
