out at the park this morning with the vanquish 540 and wireless headphones and 8" coil. Was using the jewelry mode with sensitivity on 7 . Emi was making it to noisy for my ears when raised higher. . Once all that was done I begun to hunt. This park is pretty trashy but it gets a lot of people coming to it and also because the beach is right across the street.
First thing that impressed me was the headphones. Really comfortable and the audio excellent for my hearing. The highs where coming in crisp along with the other tones., Not muffled like on some of the other wireless headphones that come with other detectors. On that same note, the iron audio was not to my liking. It sounded like a bong every time it came across the iron.
Anyways target separation was excellent , just as good as my Deus . And the target numbers where more stable and fixed when hitting good targets . Bouncy when it was trash. The other thing that surprised me was how deep it was finding targets and with good id. amongst the trash.
I'll be getting out more often with it to learn it better. And next time i'm heading over to the beach to see how it does in the wet sand. Here's what I found with it. Not much but it was fun!
Albert,
I like seeing all of the jewelry. My 800 w/multi-IQ seems to have a real hounds nose for the mid-range nickel / jewelry segment. Looks like the Vanquish is similar. I always get a quick rush of adrenalin when I see a ring in the hole and HOPE it is precious metal rather than tungsten or Stainless.
Good luck - seems you're liking the Vanquish -
Rich
