UtahRichAnd kidding aside, while the M6 holds a place of low esteem and mediocre performance in your assembly of detectors, it is an honored member of Gregg's band of beepers out producing all other detectors he's owned by a wide margin. Think of it as his .30-30 Winchester.

Almost 6 years ago I received a Nokta FORS CoRe, and within 24-48 hours after I put it together an started some comparisons, a lot of my detectors were up for sale. A Fisher F75, 2-Teknetics T2 Classic's, 2-Fisher F19's, a Tesoro Silver Sabre II and Bandido, extra White's Classic III SL's and Classic ID's, 5900 Di Pro, 6000 Pro XL, plus my MXT Pro and M6.
The last two to be sold were my MX-5 and Omega 8000. The MX-5 took the place of my M6 as a regular Coin & Jewelry Hunting detector because I liked the balance and preferred the Tone ID options. Other than that, I had M6's since they first came out for the same reasons Gregg had one. I liked the configuration, they worked close to the MXT but didn't have excess adjustments.
No knock on their performance level, except I do not care for their overload audio. I just don't own one now because I prefer many of the more modern detectors with Tone ID and some other adjustment functions, like Iron Audio Volume control ... and a lighter weight and more comfortable balance. I just added that as a 'tease' because I am always giving him a hard time out his M6 or other detectors.
