Joel,
Thx for the perspective. You know, the trick here is that the ground isn't all that sweet. Most of the remaining targets are either deep or masked. So, you end up balancing coil size (and associated noise attenuation and depth) to try to reach deeper items. The low conductivity targets yesterday were all 4-8", and there-in lies the problem. Would be interesting to have a solid target in this setting at say 6"...and then try all 3 coils to see how it behaves....which can actually reach the targets...and the trade offs between the bigger coils being noise amplifiers vs. potentially more depth. Gardens are useful...but they are gardens. Much more realistic in an actual setting. Oh the science of it all:-)
Think i'll try it one more time with the custom program. Not sure of the splits yet...but don't need the high 30s or the 18-22 range i don't believe. That should clean it up a lot. Can't tell you how many 19s i had yesteday.
