yeah I use jewelry mode! with the 12" coil seems to work well for me! separation is good, and I think a little better than coin mode.occasionally dig deep iron, but I also dig deep coins too!.for me,the detector seems to "hunt" better in jewelry mode.signals "seem" to be cleaner, especially on nickles.this thing "loves"nickles at any depth. almost "dead nuts" accurate on nickels with a 12,or 13 "hit"
