Received the new lower rod for my 800 so I mounted the 11" coil and hit the local park yesterday. It took a bit to dial in my pinpointing after using the 6" coil. I worked an area under the old fir trees and popped a 1956 wheatie amongst the trash. 1956 was a much better year for Cheverolet than pennies but considering how stingy this park is I'm happy

. The rest of the finds were clad, bling ring and a dog tag off of a rescue pup. Even with the ear saver and new washers the coil had a hard time staying in position. When I got home, I cut a thin washer from a bicycle innertube and added that behind one of the washers. That did the trick. Hope folks found cooperative weather and time to get some outing time.
