I took the 900 out for a spin yesterday. Had the 10x5 Coiltek coil {my favorite} on it. It really is a sensitive light fast machine. While I didn't kill it with coins and relics due to the hunt site being a soldier in training wood cutting foray area from the 1943 military maneuvers. They were cutting wood for their fires about 1/2 mile from their main camp. Yes, it's as thin as it sounds...but it is one of the few areas I can get a shovel in the earth right now. I did find many small iron bits like fragments from their mauls, the ever present, paper clip, razor blades and 30 06 blanks. Many at depths over 6"... it is a very impressive machine. Field2, sensitivity 22, DP tone, recovery speed 4 and horseshoe off. These settings make a deadly deep seeking accurate ID relic program If Minelab does not get with the program, I'll be using the 900 with the 12x15 coil this summer in my huge sites and the Manticore will be a backup.... Let's get with the program Minelab!!
