That's how I have outfitted my detectors for several decades so I just grab the detector/coil I want at a site and not do a lot of coil swapping afield.

Ya, that seems to work well for me also. 2 Cores, one with an oor and the other a 9.5 x 5 coil.

The Kruzers will take over from the R2's one having a 7" concentric and the other a 5" coil.

If I do have one bigger complaint about the Kruzer is that I wish they would have put a separate charging port or magnetic ( like Minelab) as I use my ProStar headphones and will have to constantly screw/unscrew the headphones to charge the detector. I hope that port holds up well after time.
