Del,
I have to say that the entire v.1.5 and v1.75 would be a whole lot easier to determine if I was experiencing some sort of a fatal flaw with my detector. Then it is easy, does the new software fix it or not?
Here is what Minelab lists as 'fixes'.
ID's for sliver coins on edge have been improved, the depth gauge is more accurate and stable at all depths, and general improvements to the user interface and user profile functions.
So, I've been dabbling around again in v1.5, that last couple days, but I think I am going to switch back to the v1.75 with a full memory wipe and go from there.
I spent a good 45 minutes a couple nights ago going through each mode documenting my settings. I use Park 1 and Park 2 the majority of the time. Occasionally I run Gold 2 when I'm tot lot'ing for small bits of jewelry. Haven't delved into either of the Beach modes yet and had minimal time with Field 1 and 2.
So if the weather holds for a week or so without freezing me out, I will likely get a few more outings before I am cabin bound. Once bound, I'll be contacting Minelab about the wee bit of shaft wobble going on between the upper and mid sections of search rod. Nuisance for sure, but not enough to halt during detecting season. Winter is the perfect time to get this resolved.
