Brief update regarding FTP Customer service and DST w/T2+.

Once again, excellent, quick and complete answers regarding my questions about the Fisher F44 and Teknetics T2+.

I had all my questions answered, to include one topic I am not at liberty to discuss. However, the good news pertains to my new T2+ that you, I and others have wondered about and confirmed what I felt might be correct, and that is the T2+ has both the 'bP' added as a selectable search mode Boost Process function, as well as built-in and not selectable D.S.T.

It is a selectable feature on the Fisher F75+, as has been mentioned, and can be turned 'On' or 'Off,' but is always 'ON' and not accessible with the Teknetics T2+.

We've had an annoying return of winter cold snow and/or rain, and a lot of wind which has hampered the opportunity to get much hunting in. However, I did give my T2+ a bit of a workout when I went into the bigger town a few days ago just to check it out closer to typical urban EMI, and it operated quite well. I was at locations that were a bit 'sputtery' on the T2 Classic's I had last year when operating with the Sensitivity anywhere above a setting of '75' to '85.' Generally I will start out with my Sensitivity set at '99' and only reduce it when necessary to deal with noisy EMI, but my T2+ worked just fine with the Sensitivity at '99' with only an occasions tick or click that was quite bearable while working "on-the-edge."

I was also pleased to now have the 'bP' process for areas where there is no masking trash making it possible to take advantage of the added depth that's possible. I enjoyed the performance of the 'original' or 'Classic' T2's but it's a welcome value to have the 'bP' function and full-time working D.S.T. in the very affordable T2+. Matter-of-fact, when I get a couple more excess detectors cleaned out of my arsenal, I'm going to buy another one of these along with a 10" elliptical mid-sized coil to keep mounted on it full-tme since the one I have now sports the 5" as a permanent coil assignment.
