But I did get in a little hunt time with that 4" Concentric coil on the F44. Worked pretty well in tighter environments and fit handily under some play equipment.
I moved the 4" Concentric coil over to a Teknetics Omega 8000 for a while. I have one F44 w/7" Concentric mounted for 'regular duty' and will soon mount another 4" C. on my 2nd Fisher F44 at the
WTHO in a couple of weeks.
(Thanks, El!)
j.t., you mentioned 'overlapping' which I always try to do regardless of the search coil. DD coils require it as much, if not more, than a comparable-size Concentric coil. What is surprising is the potential attainable detection depth with this little 4" coil. Kind of an eye opener.
Summer weather should finally be arriving, and after having a late winter and almost no huntable spring weather, a warmed and drier summer will be appreciated.
