I know that Monte doesn't spend much (any) time in the water and I don't see this technology helping us in those lonely old ghost towns of the West, but having some interest and bits of success shallow water hunting, I thought I would toss this onto the forum for those looking for something to watch / read.
Those that have been following the progress of the Fisher Impulse AQ might enjoy having a look at Le Jags latest field test.

Those that haven't been following this, in a nutshell, the Impulse AQ is an iron discriminating PI detector SPECIFICALLY designed to find gold rings in a salt water environment. This particular hunt in on some old WWII war torn beaches of France. Very productive.
Fisher hired the engineering cast and crew behind the French Manta, adding to their own talented staff and have been working on bringing it to market. It was anticipated that the Impulse would hit markets at the end of 2019, beginning of 2020. The first unit was sold to Rick Kempf the last week of December. However, some production concerns have arisen and we all
continue to wait, some more.
There is A LOT of information behind this new detector / more than I can put here. There are long post on both Detector Prospector and Dankowski if you have interest. Fisher is interested in bringing this PI technology inland from the beach to the gold fields. . . . . I'd be happy to see the Impulse AQ make it to market.
To boot, Fisher has closed its hobby line of production due to local regulations / Covid19 concerns imposed by the City of El Paso. It's industrial and security product lines will continue.

Here's hoping the covid19 virus passes from us quickly.
