your point about old coins being masked is what keeps me rocking; and a rolling!
curb strips are everywhere, and a ton are "not hunted" old parks especially "old large" parks are still viable, along with large sports fields are still producing.but mostly it's a "clad grab" with a sprinkling of silver.this is ok! I find that its enough to keep me interested, as long a is am using the "right tools" minelab multis.if i was to predominantly use "single frequency" detectors, might as well take up golf (expensive) as I have determined they are a waste of time!

It looks like you've been grossly mislead about
"Simultaneous Multi-Frequency" detectors and detector performance, John. SMF can sometimes provide a bit of an 'edge' depending on the site environment and challenges. One of the big advantages, usually, is their ability to handle saltwater beaches. I've used SMF detectors since the mid-'90s from Minelab, Fisher, White's and now Garrett. Some were a pleasure to use, but over that span of time I have favored a Single-Frequency detector and have had excellent success.
If "Multi-IQ", for example, was supposed to be able to out-perform all Single-Frequency detectors, then why did they design it with Selectable Frequencies on the Equinox series And why, if they came with 5 kHz did Minelab add the update to add 4 kHz? Because Single-Frequency detectors can work quite well, if they are designed well in the first place.
