In the past several decades I have often owned 20 to 34 detectors, some of them happened to be models I liked, or a "good deal" I came cross. No more. On one of my many hospital stays a while ago I decided to limit myself to no more than 10 detectors.
A glance At my Signature below shows my current Detector Team of 9 models. I plan to acquire an X-Terra Pro and that will bring me to a limit of 10. No room for excess models even if a 'good deal'. I have spent most of my 58 years of detecting hunting old, out-of-the-way locations, especially iron infested ghost towns. Still, I do put in a lot of time working tot-lots ands other playgrounds which is where most of my urban coins and jewelry come from. I am talking about recreation sites in and around a large city with a lot of very huntable places there as well as surrounding communities.
Coin counts only ran in the 4500 to 7500 coins per year range, but jewelry counts were generally quite good. A lot of costume jewelry in the finds, but I scored well on desired jewelry with about 30 pieces of Silver and 10-12 of Gold per year. Not my better years, but I was mostly ghost town hunting and only concentrated on tot-lots for most of the time for urban searches.
