You & your sons are considering becoming dealers??
Actually, there are two or three brands we are considering carrying, and the others we would only have one to three models in their entire line-up. The ones that are a workable dollar value and will appeal to certain segments of thew consumer group.
Quest is the only brand where we would handle all or almost all of their models. The reasons are that they have a very affordable price range o appeal to entry-level, the bulk of the mid-line buyers, and also satisfy those who are eager to have more operator control and 'modern' features.
Most detectors and search coils will list at MSRP because they are reasonable, and there will be stock-on-hand and no pe-pay and wait like so many dealers are doing today, regardless of brand.
Also, we are going to be looking into carrying a 'bundle' of some models, and also make sure we have desired accessory coils available as well. By 'desired' I am referring to the Quest 'Blade' type or 5X9½, and both a round 5" Sharp and small Snake from NEL.
It is all part of a process so we will se how things go.
