I'm assuming you will have your online store, I.e. Stinkwater Wells Trading Post, accessible here on the forum?

However, the Dealership will primarily be the same as any-other 'Sponsor' and pay the same support amount for the Forums and websites as others will. All these dozen years all of the website and Forum costs have come out of my pocket. Being a Dealer isn't a major-income source like it used To be in the hey-day of detecting, and even then you really had to work at it. Just ask Kickindirt.
Oh, I had some better times, like when I coordinated with Garrett Electronics and set up at the Portland Outdoor Show about Feb 15th and by March 15th sold 36 detectors. And I didn't sell any at the show because all those sales were Garrett's. I just received the goods and helped set up, and worked the show with Roy Lagal, Bill Bosh and another Garrett rep. My sales were made based on business cards and catalogs that were handed out, AND I was a 'Local Dealer' with a storefront, and had inventory. I always had Inventory, and that was back in '81 when the interest in metal detecting was fast-paced and growing. I seriously doubt Kickindirt has ever seen 36 sales in a month that were hand-delivered because he had product and regularly saw customers. A good 15 or so years before we had computers and internet. And I didn't have a shop in big Portland, but a small rural own that, at the time, had a populations of about 15,000.
I will advertise locally like any good Dealer ought to, but on the Stinkwater Wells website it will just be the same as any other supporting Dealer or Manufacturer. It will all be worked out by then, and the Forums will be on the Stinkwater Wells website, as they sort-of have been but redirected until we get thins finished. Then ARRPS will go back to how it was started and not have forums there. It will mainly be working with government and private parties on historic site artifact recoveries, etc.
Oh, one other thing, Stinkwater Wells will have all new detectors carried listed at the MSRP and not at a discounted price like some Forum supporters might. Also different than I have ever done when I was an active Dealer, I will probably carry two different size NEL search coils! Yes, aftermarket coils, but these are the two most popular for places I like like to hunt.
As for now it is all a work in progress, just like trying to mend me. It looks like I will be doing any detecting on the WTHO as I have a bad open wound in the bottom of my right heel and due to other sores both feet and legs were wrapped well at podiatry Thursday and I have to see them once-a-week and have a nurse coming to my home once a week to change dressings.
My youngest son, Bryan, who drove me down, asked the doctor after I was taken care of and ready to wheel away, how long it might take to heal? The doctor looked at him and then me, then my foot and said a wound like that might take 170 days. If it can mend that soon, from last Thursday the 170 days takes me to August 5th. Make the 16th WTHO a spectator event where I will usually be in my motel room, maybe power-chair my way to some fun place to pass-some-time
(hey, I'll be in Nevada), or just enjoy seeing all the finds folks will be making.
It will also mess up a 17th WTHO I am trying to get planned for Northern Utah, unless we move it out to late August or early September. It will be more old-site hunting and not Nugget Hunting.
Still working on any Random Drawing Prizes for the Outing I can gather-up.
