Another Deus lesson

I took the XP Deus (yeah, he made me a deal I couldn’t refuse) to a “fished out” logging camp. To be fair, the area is so large even 50 years of hunters can’t have covered every foot of dirt. I was trying to distinguish signals by ear and there were a lot of them. Lots of rusty bottle caps and tobacco tins, but I dug many, trying to tune my brain to the Deus signals. It seems to my novice ear it groups the high sounding targets very close together near the top of the TID, sort of like the original Racer.

Nothing really deep, but it did pick good signals out of the many iron and tin targets. I did manage to find a part of a Model T coil ( my first, although I understand they are as common as harmonica reeds), a couple more buttons, and performed a little trick OregonGregg taught me; I found a modern coin (1977 Jefferson) in an old site.

Thanks to Kickindirt for being on speed dial and being patient. I can’t really report on settings because I tried alot of them!
