Don't get me wrong about Andy and his marketing approach.

I like Andy and remember several conversations we've had going back a long ways. I, too, had a few marketing things I have done back when I was a dealer, such as offering consumers an invite to a full-day Metal Detecting Seminar, get-togethers on a few local area outings, and other things. It is important to try and share what we know and things that can help detector owners.

What I was getting at is that, sadly, we have far fewer "local" dealers left around these days, and many of them just are not all that knowledgeable about different brands, models, or sometimes not about anything. They just aren't helpful and only want to make a sale.

However, the invitation is still out there for Andy to come on out to one of our Welcome-to-Hunt Outings as it would give him an opportunity to have some fun, possibly find some good stuff, meet the great people and we would ALL learn something new or different about the detectors in use.

Too bad you can't make it. I'll mainly be using my proven Relic Hunting devices, the Nokta CoRe and Relic, but that also includes my Tesoro Silver Sabre microMAX and Bandido II microMAX that also travel with me.smiling smiley
