Maybe, but don't cut those other two too short.

I usually use a Nokta CoRe or Relic when working a very densely iron-littered ghost town and similar places, and that means using an 'OOR' or 5" DD coil most of the time, or opting for their 5X9½ DD open-frame coil. The biggest problem with those two models was their outward appearance. They LOOK like they are going to be heavy like similar shaped Minelab PI models .... but they aren't.

I've been trimming a lot of heavier and awkward models from my Outfit, but not the CoRe or relic. With the smaller to mid-size coils they balance so well, even I can go out and hunt a day. They balance a lot better than the Racer 2, Impact, Kruzer and Anfibio models with their 5X9½ coils, and WAY BETTER than any of the others with their 'standard' 7X11 or 11" DD coils.

Now, with that said in their defense, I really enjoy the exceptional light-weight and well-balanced ORX packages I use. The only detectors I have on-hand that come close are the Fisher F44 w/5" DD or 7" Concentric and Tesoro Bandido II µMAX and Silver Sabre µMAX with their 6" Concentric coils.

I look forward to the warmer and drier days come spring when I can get out with Gregg and let him work an ORX in some of those ugly places we like to visit.
