Due to the rain we've had, the three currently dug-up places I've come across are way too muddy and 'pondy', too. 'Pondy' is the detectorist's description of each and every low spot being a gooey pond or big water puddle. Worse I haven't found many that look inviting to hunt, anyway.
Glad to hear you plucked some Wheat-Backs 'cause those could have been silver. Maybe next time.
I enjoy BOTH of my ORX's because I really like the 5X9½ DD HF coil for many brushier applications, but that 9" round X35 DD stays on the 2nd device because I really enjoy the depth of detection it provides me in the open grassy sites or a plowed field, etc.
I hope spring arrives soon for both of us to get out more.
