You're not 75 yet, but did you hear more creaking in the joints by the end of the day yesterday? You're getting closer!

Creaking in the joints ? Today, YES, I'm sore; both muscles and joints.
A couple days ago i was responding to a post by Harold, ILL about fave White's machines over the years. Reflecting on my old detectors back in the 70's, 80's and 90's had me also recalling the challenges we had with these older models. One of them was weight - many of them are / were quite heavy when compared to the detectors available today.
A few years back I was hiking a mountainside with my Etrac, laboring to work the 11" coil up and down the hill as I traversed the steep slope. I would stop frequently to rest and catch my breath and enjoy the views of hiking at 8,500-10,000 ft. Don't lose your balance and fall, it is a long ways down. I compare that to last year, hiking the same slopes with my Deus and the 9" x35 coil. Night and Day difference. The lightness the Deus affords makes venturing to these places do-able for me.
For those able to swing the heavier detectors, more power to ya.

Enjoy it while you can. For those of us further down the road, the improved weight and ergonomics allow us to extend our detecting time in the field.
I was rather slow in coming around to the offerings of XP for a variety of reasons. As the obstacles were negotiated, I came to see things in a different light. Today, I'm a fan.
I'm glad to see that Remfire is enjoying his Deus as well. And doing well with it.
