Yes, a lot of folks who understand the XP brand and are familiar with the Deus, might be familiar with one of the programs or modes. But we have a lot of readers who are not familiar with multiple brands, and summer trying to learn so just filling them in on which particular model and program might be an educational moment.
As for the river, I thought it may have been just casual kids splashing around while floating they're in town. I didn't consider the Deschutes right off the bat, but if there were that many people over the 4th in that span of the drive, it would be a good place to do some detecting. I hope you can make it out again soon.

PS: the last check I did on my phone with AccuWeather showed we hit a hundred and eight degrees when it topped out so that 40 some degree water temperature sounds inviting.
