Through The Years there have been times when I have enjoyed more than one coil size and type with a particular model, but most of the time I have been very comfortable selecting one single search coil for one single detector because the combination works so well for me and my wants and needs.
With my Relic device I keep their 5" Double-D coil mounted full-time, while my Simplex Plus sports only their 5X9.5 DD full-time. My two all-time favorite Tesoro models use only the 6" Concentric coil, and the only model exception in my outfit are my three Apex devices. My main use unit has the 5X8 DD 'Ripper' coil, the open-area Apex keeps the 8.5X11 DD 'Raider' coil attached, and my third Apex sports the 5" DD NEL coil.
That brings me to the XP
ORX of which I have owned three search coils. The round 9" HF DD, the round 9" X35 DD, and the 5X9.5 HF DD. Of those three, the elliptical is my favorite.
If you have a favorite, that's good because we should all I know and understand and like the coils we select. So at this point in life I am looking for a new or very very clean elliptical HF coil for an ORX. I am willing to use my X35 9" coil to trade, or I will sell it to buy the coil I want.
If you are interested in an X-35 coil, please shoot me an email or give me a call or text message.
