The
ORX uses a 3-tone audio in the coins modes and I like that because the detectors in my outfit are 1-tone, 2-tone, 3-tone or 5-tone devices and I find all of them to be pleasant and functional for my wants and needs.
And the primary-use elliptical HF coil also works terrific, even though I wish they would have made a more center-positioned rod-mount location.
While most modern detectors, the past 20 years or so, have been designed to provide us slow motion coil sweep operation which I definitely enjoy for hunting densely littered sites, the advent of using more of a 3-filter type technology and good design of the digital circuitry, we can sometimes get away using a little faster sweep speed without sacrificing performance.
Here is where I enjoy the ☆different☆ behavior of this XP product ... and the Deus is the same. Due to health concerns I cannot put in the amount of hunt time I used to enjoy, and I combine that with the detecting opportunities I now have where I have to secure permission more often to have a hunt site. Sometimes that means I have a more limited area to search, as well as some limited-time opportunities
What I like about my
ORX is that the circuitry design allows me to use a faster than normal sweep speed and it is still able to quickly process and report desirable targets. I have my two custom programs saved, like I used to rely on, that are working well for my current needs and opportunities. This device makes a splendid compliment to my favorite Tesoro, Relic, Simplex Plus, and Apex detectors. Together, they are one happy family who enjoy outdoor recreation.
