D&P-ORIsn't that about what you said of the F5?

No concern as I will not be parting with an ORX this time. It works well for the applications I grabbed it for so this one is home to stay.

Yes, possibly, and I said pretty much the same thing about a few other detectors that I really enjoy using. The F5 offers a lot more than many people might realize in the way of on-the-fly adjustments as well as performance in a variety of applications.
But I was facing the need to make a lot of judgment calls in order to trim my detector outfit down to those that serve my needs best based upon the limited detecting I am able to put in these days due to declining health limitations.
I've grown used to maintaining quite a variety of different makes and models during the past 40 years, more than I had earlier on, but I had to face reality. Of those I have thinned out and have more recently desired to re-explore, even though I have detectors that are serving me well now, the only detector I could think of that I really felt I wanted to add back in was the ORX.
I even parted with my XLT, and that was a decision I have made many times in the past only to add that one back in, but I have really had to address the need to go with a lighter weight and more comfortable detector outfit.
